The introduction of our Premium Series fills the need for pianos that can compete with top Asian and European brands, yet do not cost a king's ransom. To achieve this task, legendary engineer George F. (Frank) Emerson, along with Sibin Zlatkovic, Peter Veletzky, Ema Shigeru and our Asian production partners set about creating a remarkable series of Grands and Uprights. One that ultimately surpassed even our expectations. Named the "Premium Series," these pianos are rapidly grabbing the attention of buyers throughout North America. They are also changing perceptions of the "Made in Asia" label.
The designs and scales of the Premium Series are unique. At the heart of each instrument, where quality counts most, the engineering team drew on trusted craftsmanship, seeking out Europe's most renowned component makers. They incorporated strings by the famous German manufacturer, Roeslau. Hammers by industry leader, Renner. For power and clarity, they added a tapered, solid spruce soundboard (precision-made using state-of-the-art Asian technology) and double duplex scaling. Other extras include conveniences like ultra wide castors and slow-close fallboards. To the Uprights we have added performance extras such as agraffes, for precision string alignment and tuning—an unheard of feature on pianos within this price range. Last, but certainly not least, every Steigerman Premium piano is as perfect in fit and finish as it is in its quality of tone.
